Add URLThank you for your interest in the Directory. Submitting a site, URL (Web address) is easy, but before you proceed with the site submission form, please note: The FISHinONTARIO directory does not accept all sites. It is only for sites related to Ontario (e.g. Ontario fishing, lodges eco-touring etc.) so please don't take it personally should your site not be accepted. If you would like to have your site added to our links page, please email FISHinONTARIO at Once the URL is verified, it is added to our index. Normally, the page is available for queries in a day or so, but can take up to two to three weeks to be indexed. Be sure to double-check your spelling. The FISHinONTARIO search engine uses Meta tags, based on your keywords and description. And we ask that you post a reciprocal link on your web site, linking back to FISHinONTARIO. We will check this within seven days of URL submission. Remove/Change URLTo have your URL removed or changed email FISHinONTARIO at |

Submission PoliciesWe care a great deal about the quality of the directory. Please be aware that abusive submissions will result in the removal of all sites connected with the abuser. Please only submit an URL to the FISHinONTARIO directory once. If a site has not been listed within three weeks, you may submit it again. Disguising your submission and submitting the same URL more than once is not permitted. Example: http://www.fish.org and http://www.fish.org/index.html. Please do not submit mirror sites. Mirror sites are sites that contain identical content, but have different URLs altogether. Sites with illegal content are forbidden in the FISHinONTARIO directory . Examples of illegal material include, but are not limited to, child pornography and sites infringing on copyright. Please avoid submitting sites with addresses that redirect to another address. Wait until your site is complete before submitting your URL. Sites which are incomplete, contain "Under Construction" notices, or contain broken graphics or links aren't good candidates for the directory. META TagsControlling how your Web page is indexed by FISHinONTARIO, in the absence of any other information, FISHinONTARIO will index using Meta tags. It is possible for you to control how your page is indexed by carefully selecting your key words, which will be used as Meta tags. META tags specify both additional keywords to index, and a short description. Let's suppose your page contains: <META name="description" content="We specialize in grooming pink poodles."> <META name="keywords" content="pet grooming, Palo Alto, dog"> FISHinONTARIO will then do two things: It will index both fields as words, so a search on either poodles or dog will match. It will return the description with the URL. In other words, instead of showing the first couple of lines of the page, a match will look like the following: Pink Poodles Inc We specialize in grooming pink poodles. http://pink.poodle.org/ - size 3k - 29 Feb 96 FISHinONTARIO will index the description and keywords up to a limit of 1,024 characters. For more information about meta tags, see the How To Use Meta Tags article at searchenginewatch.com. |
